This new app DOES WHAT IT SAYS. The video quality is superb and I would recommend this to all camera buffs. Through eBay, I picked up a high quality window mount for less than six dollars for Motion X GPS and it works great for my iPhone 4. aDriveVideo is so easy to use, and you have the choice to turn voice off, which saves a smaller file. This app has so much more, so read the instructions. Super job guys!

Decent app, does what it promises. Simple, robust - exactly how I like it.

Surprisingly, but this app really works! I tried other driving video recorders, like DriveMate, who is not bad, but the export is slooowww! This one saves the video almost immediately! It has simple interface, what is good when you driving and need to watch the road, not the buttons on screen! Feature request: would be just superb to have an option to save ONLY LAST 10 MINUTES.

aDrive was just what I was looking for! I did not want to by a GoPro for the limited onboard video, so I found aDrive instead. It works just as advertised and the video quality is just what I was looking for. I have even started using it during normal driving, just in case I ever need the evidence. Great product and the author is attentive with upgrades and bug fixes. Both a bargain and a great solution.

The video does not flip, so the app is pointless if you have a fixed holder - the dashboard simply comes in upside down

This is a good app, but it needs an option to be able to record videos in different phone orientations. My videos record upside-down with my mount. Also needs better recording quality. The video gets pixelated and bad frame rates sometimes.

When will the developers of black box apps learn that superimposing information on the video degrades the video. They need an option to not have the speed information superimposed. At the highest setting the video is really poor.

This is probably the best dashcam/driving video app in my opinion. The ability to customize what data is displayed is a big plus, the fast export to your library, great interface. The only issue that hurts it (and hurts it a lot) is the lack of a focus lock. The camera on the iPhone 4 will "hunt" for a focus point up to every 5 seconds, making the video briefly blurry. This is major drawback to an otherwise great app. Ive emailed the developer and it sounds like they want to solve that issue. If this could simply set and lock the focus to infinity it would be a perfect driving app.

Video is upside down, hard to review

Ok Mr. V.L., You want five stars in order to keep up and maintain this app, well you got it. This app does what it says itll do, and does it well. If its upside down go to Wal-Mart they sell a great all position dash position mount that solves that oh so minor gripe, next this out of focus thing, what do you expect when your going sixty miles an hour all cameras have this issue, so THIS IS A NON ISSUE FOR REAL! The app is offered for free when I got it and I never looked back or for another app doing the same function. Besides when u check out the other apps this app has it all and more bang for the buck! All the complaints have been non issues compared to a lot of the junk out there this app is solid and well thought out. If you think you can find another better app out there then download it, test drive it, BUT Ill bet youll come back home to this app. An Independent Beta Blogger! And the survey says:

Aside of the issue with orientation and the lack of customization such as the ability to remove superimposed data, this app produces terrible video quality on highest settings. If you not using it in a bright daylight, the app is completely useless; the recording stalls and the quality is just treacherous. I used it on both, iPhone 4S and 5. Even with the fast processor on i5 the quality is terrible. Using iPhone 5 under not-so-optimal lighting conditions still results in good quality videos but when recording video through this app, diminishes the quality tremendously. Great idea, it will be handy if it worked properly ... but it doesnt. It needs a lot of work and so far, it is a vaste of 99 cents.

Records video with a hud that shows current speed, lat long and map all at 720p video quality! Yes all this information is recorded into the video not separate like all the other apps. There is no other app on the AppStore this good. BUT with the release of ios 6 there are a couple of glitches. Night time recording is worthless, very choppy. Needs iPhone 5 screen support. Would like better video recording quality with iPhone 5 faster CPU.

How about a "switch" for MPH or KPH?

This app is using Apple maps instead of Google maps which makes it not usable.

Great Info onscreen. All you need. Needs better video frame rate. Would love it if camera could switch from front to back, etc. while recording. Otherwise awesome.

Video is upside down.

It is great blackbox app. Please add a function of full map mode during capturing video.
